Have a laugh with the Ballpoint Penguins, three fine voices doing original and popular comic songs with verve and wry style in and around Perth, Western Australia.Our original songs tackle life's really important questions: The battle of the sexes, the quest for self-actualisation, and what a woman really wants from a trip to the beauty shop.

Quirky finds and classics—from Monty Python to Tom Paxton to Flanders & Swann—get the close harmony treatment.Mostly we perform a cappella but we mix things up with a bit of guitar sometimes, with the odd soulful ballad or voxed-up pop song.Impotence, vegetarians, religion, no topic is sacred, but everything's handled with our own sardinic humour (sorry!).

We harmonise in pop, gospel, blues and barbershop styles.The Ballpoint Penguins are the ideal entertainers for festivals and events—we are fun but classy. On stage or roving from table to table, we'll add an elegant but light-hearted air to your function.Since forming in mid-2003, The Penguins have performed at Fremantle Festival, Fairbridge Festival, the Nannup Music Festival, Spring in the Valley, Darlington Arts Festival, and other festivals, wineries, clubs and private functions.

The Victorian Highland Pipe Band Association, established in 1924,is the oldest pipe band association in the world, and now functions to support the Victorian Branch of the A.P.B.A. Inc and the bands of that branch. Pipe Bands Victoria is the name used to market both associations, the APBA Inc. Victoria Branch being the body responsible for everyday band activities, the V.H.P.B.A. Inc. (the State Association formerly responsible for everyday band activities) remains active as an administrative facility to support the branch.There are some forty pipe bands in Victoria. The oldest have attained their centenary, while bands are still being formed in new areas. Most bands offer instruction to learners and players alike. Standards are set, and Certificates of Proficiency awarded by the Australian Pipe Band College.

We are a fusion; music, media and art band that have donated our talents and time to promoting charity work,and through a combined effort of many volunteers,have produced an album that we sell by donation and give to charity. We have taken a Vow of Poverty on our music and donate all the money raised from the sale of our CDs to funding education to poor/orphaned children.We have several projects currently running, including the sponsoring of 29 children into school in the poor remote village of Karnangasem in Bali, Indonesia,the development of Bio-Latrines in Asia,a school in the Southwest of China in ZhaoJue (one of the 500 poorest areas on earth) where we now have 20 registered orphans and we are now planning to repeat the tour into Remote Indigenous Communities for a second year running.This time we hope to take more music, more workshops, more indigenous artists to a bigger audience on many more remote communities to more kids. VOW Music Workshops Tour is to inspire indigenous children to develop their talents through indigenous role models,using music as a medium to develop career opportunities, a cathartic avenue or an outlet for expression.
